Our Philosophy

Our  Service statement of philosophy

At our service, our guiding philosophy is to nurture the unique qualities of each child while respecting their individual backgrounds, including cultural and family influences. We achieve this through positive interactions with our children, their families, and our team. Our commitment is demonstrated through our Montessori education program, our team and the design of our prepared learning environment. Our pedagogy follows an emergent Montessori approach that prioritises children’s interests, strengths, and cultural identities in the curriculum.

  • We believe children are capable, curious, and creative learners, drawing inspiration from Maria Montessori's focus on independence, Vygotsky's emphasis on collaborative learning, Piaget's insights on cognitive growth, and Dr. Red Ruby Scarlet's advocacy for cultural responsiveness and social justice.

  • We aim to provide an environment that promotes a sense of belonging to each child, their family members, our staff, and the wider community.

  • We aspire to be one large, happy family

  • We value the individuality of all people involved with our centre and respect and honour their involvement, feedback, and support.

  • We aim to provide an innovative, safe, and extremely clean environment, so you and your child enjoy walking through our doors and are comfortable allowing your child to explore.

  • Our classrooms are all individual and extremely organised whilst offering a stimulating and educational environment that awakens your child’s inner curiosity.

  • Our staff goes to extraordinary lengths to provide the children with love, respect, dignity, and humility.

  • Your children are offered achievable challenges, hands-on experiences, and a varied curriculum that promotes balance and deeper absorption of information.

  • Your child will be exposed to diverse experiences like music & movement, art & craft, cooking lessons, computer lessons, and nature study, so they may become aware that the world is diverse and much more significant than they first imagined.

  • We aim to have as much fun as possible with your children so that we may all laugh together and learn through playing; children need the opportunity to be children.

  • We will educate children through their senses and embrace the Montessori method and philosophy. Our curriculum is influenced by the Early Years Learning Framework and we recognize that the early years of life are the most important for lifelong learning.

  • We aim to recognize every window of opportunity as a particular time to offer your child a specific lesson and not rush them, so that the address is lost. This will promote their independence.

  • We aim to educate our families in our philosophy, guide, support, inspire and motivate parents to a new level of understanding of their child, and make one of the most challenging jobs rewarding.

  • We value diversity, honour, celebrate differences, and seek to develop knowledge and positive attitudes towards all walks of life. We actively educate our children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and respect and acknowledge them as the First Nations People of Australia.

  • We recognise the Rights of the Child and we work with families to achieve the best outcomes for each child.

  • We are advocates for children and have a strong commitment to child safety and establishing and maintaining a child-safe environment. Children's safety is paramount, and we aim to take all practical steps to protect children from harm, ensuring a healthy and safe environment.

  • We value diversity and believe each family's culture is important. We work and communicate with families to support the development of each child’s individual cultural identity. We respect the differences in families
